POS, Trinidad (Sonique Solutions) –One night after igniting the south land at the event entitled “Sexy in Black” the beautiful Soca powerhouse known as Nadia Batson brought down the house at the famous “One Fete” extravaganza.
One fete remains one of the most anticipated all inclusive events of the Carnival Season and features the industry’s top performers. This year’s edition overflowed with festivity and star power and was accentuated by Nadia’s compact, high energy feature performance.
The celebrated singer, song writer and entertainer burst onto the One Fete stage and unleashed her arsenal of musical hits beginning with the timeless Zouk-infused “One Island”. She then proceeded to unite two Caribbean islands by inviting Grenadian Soca artiste Tallpree to perform their monster collaboration “Lighters”.
Never being one to hog the spotlight, the humble Ms. Batson inveigled her fellow islander to execute his classic “Tallpree Dance” much to the delight of the capacity crowd in the Queen’s Park Oval.
She ended her electric set with a medley of her much loved power Soca smashes which included “My Land” and “Heaven” which she delivered seamlessly along side her Kes the Band co-vocalist Kees Diefenthaller.
Although Nadia’s on stage time was less than 30 minutes, her presence was truly appreciated by the patrons in attendance who were seen singing each of her songs word for word during the performance.
Nadia, who cherishes her fans and all the support and love which they have given to her throughout her career, vows to deliver superb, exciting showings with each appearance for the season and beyond. With numerous gigs, competition preparation, a new album and several other efforts ‘Miss B’ is ready and willing to give her all for the sake of music.
Be on the look out for Nadia Batson mashing up a fete near you.
