Doubt – The Obstacle to Your Miracle

Many of us pray expecting and hoping that it will bring the results we want. Rather , we should pray knowing that what we desire is already ours and is already manifested in the spirit Our prayers are essentially the tool to bring them out of the spiritual realm and into reality.

That is why Jesus said “if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed you can say to the mountain remove hence to yonder place and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Your faith is simply the knowledge that the mountain has moved from where it was to where you desire for it to be and your prayer produces the desired action.

(Mark 11:22-24) “…Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them.”

Mark 4:31,32 – The mustard seed being the smallest seed but produces the largest tree was the symbol Jesus used to illustrate this truth. It only takes a small measure of faith to produce great results. Planting that one seed produces a tree. The key to learn is that the seed is not planted today and tomorrow you see the great tree. It grows in stages. Many people starting out attempt and quit because their first step of faith did not manifest the way they thought it would. They mistakenly believed that nothing happened.

Try the experiment that most elementary students must conduct in science class at some point. Take a bean, cover it with cotton and place it in a cup. Watch what happens over time. It begins to sprout, but you certainly don’t see a bean tree with beans on it at the onset. If you continued to water it and eventually plant it, you would see it sprout above the ground.

Let your faith take roots. Do not be disheartened because you do not see the stalks or leaves. There is a great work being done under the surface and eventually it will spring forth. You have been planted in good soil and watered with the living water, which is the word of God, you must bring forth fruit.

That is why the prayer of thanksgiving is so important that is what makes the dead come alive.

Believing brings forth the glory of God. (John 11:40b)

Matthew 14:31b “O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Jesus was speaking to Peter who was walking towards Him on the water.

Peter was already doing it. He was actually walking on the water, it was not an action he was hoping to do. Yet the moment he looked and thought, wow, “it’s not possible to walk on water. You sink if you do this,” he began to sink.

Faith requires you to look beyond the laws of gravity, life and death and what is rational and says, “I believe and so it must manifest.” Faith is a spiritual action. Prayer transcends both worlds.

Prayer is the key to seeing the manifestation. When Jesus arrived at the cave where Lazarus He prayed “Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always; but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou has sent me.”

Jesus spoke in the past tense. Meaning, God, you and I have already discussed this but I am just verbalizing it for the benefit of the family and friends around. Jesus had already told his disciples, that Lazarus was sleeping and he was going to wake him up. Lazarus being dead was no more of a challenge than rousing a sleeping child. He went later on purpose to prove the point. He knew he was not just able to raise him but knew that He was the resurrection.

It is why He asked us to take communion and drink of his blood and his body. We are then remembering to partake of who he is. The life, the word, the healing, not just the deliverer of the word, not just the giver of life, not just the healer.

Everything you have been praying for is already yours. Just be patient and do not doubt. You will reap if you faint not. Whatever it takes do not lose your joy for in joy is the strength you need to endure unto the end and see the results of what you have been praying for.

  1. Her memoir has a powerful language. She has a revolutionary way in which she explains things. The way she writes and her observations are like ‘crystals in a chandelier’

Her writings were glorious to savor.
