Truly Caribbean.Net was developed to fill a void in the internet marketplace for content about Caribbean people. I created a business plan to fulfill this desire to showcase the talents, products and services of entrepreneurs who did not know how to access the media and markets outside of their island.
It became apparent that adding events such as seminars, festivals and concerts with the same brand identity reinforced our mission of celebrating our truly Caribbean identity.
Now in its eighth year online, over 200,000 unique visitors access www.trulycaribbean.net each year for information and resources on entrepreneurship in the Caribbean.
This portal opened the channels for advertising agencies, international news media and business journals to seek out my advice as it relates to business in the Caribbean from an entrepreneurial perspective.
The website offers features on Caribbeanpreneurs, women in business, parenting, spirituality and opinions from leading writers in the region.
